Select the relevant objects or use your current view as the target. Describe a focused change and inspect the preview. A smaller, explicit task is easier to check than a request to redesign an entire project at once.

Review the proposed geometry and refine it in the conversation. Apply the result when it fits your intent, then check it with dimensions and object properties. Keep a source copy of an imported file.
What does text to CAD mean in CadFreely?
Text-to-CAD drafting starts with a written description and proposes drawing geometry. In CadFreely, the focus is editable 2D objects: a room outline, openings, dimensions or a focused change to an existing drawing. Specify the units, sizes and target objects so you can check the result against your intent.
AI CAD does not remove the need to measure and review. A floor-plan draft still needs checks for clear dimensions, door positions and usable space. A mechanical sketch still needs checks for centres, radii and tolerances. CadFreely does not generate a verified parametric 3D solid from every request.
Try an AI room-layout draft
- Open CadFreely and open AI Copilot from the workspace.
- Sign in and check your current AI allowance. Set the drawing units before describing dimensions.
- For a first attempt, start with a blank drawing and a small, specific request like the example below.
- Inspect the preview. Ask a follow-up if a dimension, door or window needs changing, then apply the result.
- Measure the interior, check wall thickness and openings, and save a copy. Reopen the saved DWG or DXF before sharing it.
Editable geometry and images serve different purposes
A CAD draft contains drawing objects you can inspect and edit. The separate AI image features produce presentation images; those images are not editable DWG geometry or dimensionally verified engineering models.

Before using a draft in a real project
CadFreely is in beta. AI output needs your review, and imported DWG files can contain unsupported custom objects or missing references. Verify dimensions, layers, text, geometry and saved-file compatibility. A generated draft is not a structural calculation, code-compliance check or professional approval.
